Abstract

The eco-tourism stands out for the conservation and educational character regarding the natural and cultural resources of each area. It aimed to accomplish rising of the eco-tourist potential presented by the area and adjacencies, seeking the detection of places, infrastructures and several conditions to support the ecological tourism activity as conservation alternatives associated to the regional development. Bibliographical rising, field incursions and glimpses the popular of the area were accomplished, regarding the natural resources of the physical and biological environment. The area is inserted in the bioma "Cerrado" that, where preserved, is distributed on the most varied relief forms providing the occurrence of interesting structures to the eco-tourism activity, such as valleys, observatories, hills, water falls, artificial lakes, caves and grottos, each one with your special ecological and scenery importance. Some of the biotic resources are protected in private or public conservation units. There are animal and vegetable fossils, prehistoric paintings and tools, monuments, cultural and economical regional parties supported by composed infrastructure, how: universities, museums and other means, besides already existent hotel net, commerce, telecommunication and people's and thing's accesses by aerial, roads and water ways. Finally, many are the options of the region and adjacencies to eco-tourist, economical and cultural activities that can be increased generating possibilities to the community and to the environment valorization and conservation.
