Abstract
The supersonic transport will require modification of passenger loading facilities in the terminals; stronger and smoother runways, taxiways, and parking areas; and turnoffs with increased radii. The fact that airport operators have been consulted during the design of the SST should help reduce some of the problems. The noise problem must be controlled, perhaps by compatible land use through zoning in airport areas. Maintenance noise can probably be surpressed by a hush house hangar-type building.
