Abstract

The propagation of outage rumors will cause changes in load demand and increase the risk of the power grid operation. Due to the lack of considering the correlation between outage rumor propagation and load demand changes in the existing references, this paper proposes an outage rumor propagation model using the susceptible infected removed (SIR) model. Based on the SIR model, the number of infected individuals and load demand changes after suffering rumors can be obtained. Also, the influence of rumor propagation on the power grid operation is investigated. This paper studies the influence of rumor propagation on load demand by setting high, medium, and low three infection rate and recovery rate scenarios in different individuals. In addition, the optimal results of the power system operation are found based on the reptile search algorithm method in this work. The results can provide important basic information for future operational optimization of the complex power grid.
