Abstract

A guide synchronizing means creates a speech guide in response to a speech request from a facility judging means for determining the current place of a facility selected in advance on the basis of the current place and map data. A stereophonic signal processing means converts the speech guide to a stereophonic sound field signal and outputs the signal to two or more loudspeakers for defining a stereophonic sound reproduction space corresponding to the left and right external ears of the listener let the listener know the distance and direction to the previously selected facility through the movement of a sound image imparting a sense of realism.
