Abstract
In this research work, the operation plan of diesel engine generator (DEG) and wind turbine (WT) with battery storage system (BSS) is optimized as a nonlinear system considering load profile. Furthermore, three types operation cases. Case 1: load profile is feed by DEG, Case 2: load profile is feed by WT with BSS, and Case 3: load profile is feed by combined system of DEG, and WT with BSS. These sources are suggested to deliver energy to a micro grid of nine household in RED SEA governorate, Egypt. A comparison study between the three operating cases is satisfied. This research work reports that the total performance of the combined system of case 3 is higher than independent operation of each system according to the system cost and emission of gases.
