Abstract

The shore to ship power (shore power) is an efiective solution to substantially reduces air-pollutant emissions in port area. With the establishment of emission control area of China, to control ship emissions in port. In order to improve frequency stability of shore power and make which is controlled by Power Management System (PMS), this study presents an improved droop control strategy of shore power, which simulate the electrical and mechanical characteristics of ship diesel synchronous generator, then the shore power can be directly controlled by the PMS. Simulation study results verify the effectiveness of the strategy, compared with the droop control strategy, the improved droop control strategy is easy to implement, and the pre-synchronization control strategy make transfer process of grid-connected seamless. Meanwhile, the deviation of voltage and frequency is always within the limited range of regulation in power department, the improved droop control strategy could improve stability and power quality of ship power system.
