Abstract
The interest in the high pressure injection in diesel engines continues to grow. Optimal injection pressure is a function of the engine parameters and its application and is open to question. The study investigates the injection features of diesel fuel at pressures above 300-400 MPa. The injection pressure level, at which the fuel flow through the nozzle ceases to grow, was experimentally determined, and an improved simulation method for the heavy fuel injection modelling was proposed.
