Abstract

Papers presented at the Sixteenth Annual Seminar of Coke-Industry Specialists by enterprises maintaining Russian coke furnaces during times of economic crisis are summarized. Topics considered include the provision of refractories for the reconstruction and repair of furnace linings; new repair methods; shutdown of the coke batteries in hot and cold conservation and their subsequent return to operation; and the work of research and design organizations on prospects for coke production.
