Abstract
In 2002 Ans Khan had a paragliding accident that left him paralysed from the chest down. Despite this misfortune he continues to work as a Consultant Urological Surgeon, specialising in open kidney surgery, and is also an Associate Medical Director. In this article, he describes the uplifting story of how he came to terms with his injury and got back into the operating theatre.
