Abstract

The results of theoretical and experimental studies of the operating conditions and efficiency of underground drainage units yielded the principal regularities in the change of the yield of through-flow and deadend drainage units together with the relation between their initial yield and its time-dependence on the one hand and the type of hydrogeological zone concerned on the other, and made it possible to determine the optimum operating conditions and siting of all types of drainage units.
