Abstract

The article discusses the performanses of the opera «Kyz Zhibek» by E. Brusilovsky from 1934 to 2017 and its musical revisions that reflect the development of the genre in accordance with the artistic and aesthetic demands of society. The subject of research is the collective creativity and authorship. At the stage of creating the work, the musical material was formed thanks to the composer’s cooperation with traditional musicians. In subsequent performances, the need for musical editing was determined by the processing of the musical-drama performance into an opera. In the modern performance, the musical text of the opera has undergone the greatest changes. The new musical edition is due to the modern concept of the opera performance. It significantly changes the basic aspects of the original – sound, rhythmic, textured expressive means, as well as the composition of numbers and sections. On the basis of the historical review of the performances and analysis of musical editions substantiated the idea that in the opera «Kyz-Zhibek» features of hidden collective authorship appear with its undoubted belonging to E. Brusilovsky. Introduction to the scientific use of knowledge about new performances and editions expands the representation of the life of the first national opera «Kyz-Zhibek» in the musical culture of Kazakhstan.Key words: opera, composer, collective creativity, musical art, collective authorship, performance, edition.
