Abstract

Introduction: Minimally invasive right donor hepatectomy was developed with the intent to mitigate magnitude of surgical insult inflicted on altruistic donor, however, its routine use is contentiously debated. We present the largest series of pure robotic live donor right hepatectomy(r-LDRH) to date, comparing its safety and efficacy with conventional open donor right hepatectomy(o-LDRH) with due emphasis on difficulties we encountered during our learning curve.
