Abstract

Human genetics and stem cell biology have advanced neurobiology for neurodevelopmental psychiatric disorders. In this issue of Cell Stem Cell, Forrest etal. (2017) demonstrate that studying the landscape of open chromatin regions in stem cell-derived neurons helps functional interpretation of non-coding genetic variants associated with these diseases.
