Abstract
The main problem of the management of industrial wastes in Poland is the large quantities and their unsatisfactory utilization. The sites of their utilization can be active waste heaps of open cast mines. In this article, legal regulations facilitating the possibilities for using internal and external waste heaps of open cast mines as land fills for asbestos wastes (construction and insulation materials) are presented.
