Abstract

This descriptive-observational research, used both quantitative and qualitative techniques, to provide the researchers with enough data to better understand and value the educational activities and programs planned by several museums of the central node to commemorate the international day of the museums. For this, the perception of pedestrians has been compiled, as well as the perception of visitors during the execution of the educational program “One night in the museum”. A third stage of research highlights the planning of the educational activities generated between 2000 and 2019. After the data collection stage, the instruments for analysis and interpretation were selected, for which a sample of 370 surveys was available during the first part, 50 surveys were developed in the second stage and 21 museums in the third stage. From the data extracted, it has been possible to verify the need to strengthen the links between academia and museums to support scientific and educational production as well as the direction for the creation of formal and non-formal educational programs.
