Abstract

Busulfan (Bu) is an old drug, but is still well recommended as alkylating agent during the conditioning therapy, before hematopoietic stem cell transplantations (HSCT). Although its dose administrations are standardized and based on patients’ weight, the therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) is required in order to maintain its exposure within a narrow therapeutic range and, if necessary, to adjust the dose.
