Abstract
A lanthanum mixed dicarboxylate of the formula [La 2(C 2O 4) 2(C 6H 8O 4)(H 2O) 2] containing metal oxalate layers connected by adipate and oxalate units has been synthesized hydrothermally. Hexagonal channels occur along the c-axis of this material. It has been possible to isolate another mixed dicarboxylate of the formula [La 2(C 2O 4)(C 4H 4O 4) 2(H 2O) 4]⋅4H 2O containing metal succinate layers connected by oxalate units.
