OP19 Early Detection of High-Risk Pregnancy for Blue and Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana Members

Abstract

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana examines risk factors prior to the first indication of eligible member’s pregnancy. In combination with early detection of pregnancy, the risk factors are used for enhanced and prolonged intervention during the pregnancy with the intention of preventing adverse maternal outcomes. This study evaluates the timeliness of pregnancy identification and evaluates the relationship between risk factors known before pregnancy and maternal outcomes.
