Abstract

Fetal tachycardia is a condition associated with congestive heart failure and development of fetal hydrops which may result in morbidity or death. The aim of this study was to investigate the long-term outcome of hydropic fetuses. Retrospective cohort study. We studied all cases with fetal hydrops after tachycardia treated in our clinic. We identified 27 cases. At the time of this abstract data on 18 cases were available. Six fetuses had atrial flutter and twelve supraventricular tachycardia. Twelve children with normal neurological outcome, three with neurological morbidity and three perinatal death. In this study, neurological outcome was good in 12 out of 18 infants.
