Abstract

Introduction: Cardiac troponins are markers recommended by current guidelines for detection of myocardial damage and acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Determination of decision limits in the measurement of troponin in the case of acute coronary syndrome has great importance. The aim of this study is to determine the diagnostic upper limit value of high sensitivity troponin T for AMI diagnosis in our own community and to investigate whether this threshold value is different between sexes.
