Abstract

Using the OODR technique, the 0 g +( 3P 0) ion-pair state of 127I 2 has been explored up to 53800 cm −1. The second excitation step was carried out with a tunable uv laser radiation in the range 2900–3000 Å. A molecular constant set valid up to v = 75 has been derived. A highly vibrationally excited 0 g +( 3P 2) state has been observed.
