Abstract
The article is devoted to the problems of modern publication of archival texts of folk tales based on the material of the Pskov fairy tales onimicon. Deviations from the tradition of naming heroes are revealed. Questions are raised about the anonymization of appellatives in the structure of the text. The connection of name transformation with the problem of its spelling when publishing is shown. The work is based on the most complete edition of Pskov fairy tales in 2016 (215 texts) with the involvement of data from other publications.
