Abstract

With the advancements in human-computer interaction and related technologies, such as motion capture, sensor interface and analysis, interactive multimedia performances are rapidly gaining ground within the performing arts communities. This has brought forward the need for digital preservation of these performances, so that they can be reconstructed with accuracy for re-performance or analysis in the future. This paper presents an ontology-based temporal model for the representation of provenance information. The proposed ontology model addresses the temporal aspects of the components of a performance and targets their evolution over time.
