Abstract

Package design for mass order is becoming one of the significant issues to influent package quality in fresh e-commerce logistics. However, the package schemes of fresh products remain challenging, due to various fresh products storage and delivery requirements, and complex environment temperature in a long express distance. This paper proposes a package design system in fresh e-commerce logistics to address these challenges. More specifically, the package scheme design is defined in semantic ontologies with three steps such as order identification, package scheme design based on identification and box type recommendation. The intelligent package system standardizes the information flow in fresh e-commerce logistics, as well as shortens the package information processing time. A real-life case study from company JY is conducted involving stages from customer information collection to order delivery. The case demonstrates the working mechanism and system implementation in terms of rationalized work activities and quantitative improvements.
