Abstract

This paper is dedicated to the studies of monopredicative polysynonymic utterances at the level of syntagm or proposition in semantic-syntactical, pragmatic and stylistic aspects in the continuum language – discourse. They define these constructions as virtual (linguistic) mono- and polytransformational unities phenomenologically reconstructed from a primary structure which are actualized in the form of compressed, extended or quantitatively equicomponential preferential options. By the way of inverse reconstruction and linguistic experiment they determine the degree of co(n)textual pertinence of each member of synonymic series and they reveal strategies of the author’s linguistic gamе.
