Abstract

Introduction: Breastfeeding is great for all newborns, but studies have shown it can be increasingly beneficial in premature infants. Due to the lack of a mature suck-swallow reflex in infants below 33 weeks gestation, providing breast milk can become a difficult challenge for mothers of premature infants.
