Abstract
Sixteen complex compounds of composition [MLX2] and [M′L]X2 where M=CoII; M′=CuII, CdII, or HgII; X=Cl, Br, I, NO3, SCN or ClO4; L=N,N′-bis(acetoacetanilide) ethylenediamine have been synthesized. The complexes of the first category are octahedral and the latter type are either square planar or tetrahedral as inferred from analysis, conductance, magnetic susceptibility, i.r. and electronic spectral data and molecular weight measurement.
