Online platform #BeKind365 launched by Lady Gaga foundation

Abstract

The Born This Way Foundation, co‐founded by Lady Gaga and her mother Cynthia Germanotta, announced last month the launch of #BeKind365, an online platform designed to engage, excite, and inspire kindness 365 days a year through a variety of digital components, activations, and features driving toward the Foundation's mission to build a kinder and braver world, according to a news release. Following the success of the Born This Way Foundation's global kindness campaign, #BeKind21, which took place in September and has recruited thousands of partners across industries, millions of participants, and hundreds of millions of pledged acts of kindness, the Foundation will launch #BeKind365 as a formal, year‐round program. Grounded in Born This Way's research, which has shown that practicing, receiving, or even witnessing kindness in the world is beneficial to young people's mental health, #BeKind365 is an invitation to build kindness into participants’ lives every day, wherever they are, whenever they can. The platform encourages users to take a pledge and invite their friends, colleagues, and loved ones to be kind to themselves and their communities and to practice kindness for 365 days.
