Abstract

In recent years, vehicular mobile transformer has been increasingly widely used in emergency power supply during equipment failure, natural disaster and alternative operational maintenance. Therefore, the safe transportation of vehicular mobile transformers is of great importance to power grid. In this paper, a transportation condition monitoring system for vehicular mobile transformers is introduced and developed. The transportation process of a 110kV/40MVA vehicular mobile transformer is monitored from the manufacturer in Jiangsu Province to the operating unit in Guangdong Province from 19:15 on December 12, 2018 to 14:00 on December 13, 2018. The geo-location, driving speed, vibration and shock acceleration in six different road sections are obtained in real time. Results show that the driving speed is highly correlated with the road section and the vibration and shock acceleration is highly correlated with the driving speed. The three-axis acceleration amplitude and the acceleration frequency are relatively high on highway and relatively low on service area. The amplitude of Y-axis vibration and shock acceleration is generally the lowest among the three-axis accelerations.
