Abstract

The use of a CCD camera with image intensifier for monitoring an antiproton beam is described. The camera views the scintillation light leaking out of the surface of one of the beam counters. From the results of a test at LEAR it may be inferred that low-energy antiproton beams with an intensity of down to 5000 p s −1 can be monitored.
