Abstract

Based on the analysis of online handwritten Tibetan character recognition, study and develop an online handwritten Tibetan input system in Android. Firstly, the flow's design of input method was completed by analysis Android system architecture, combines with the need of input method in Android system's application program layer, application program framework layer, and the runtime library layer. Secondly, handwriting input interface, handwritten information acquisition and preprocessing scheme, features identification scheme, candidate views, the keyboard input interface, interface's logic switching scheme combined with the input method framework requirements etc. was designed. Finally, some technology realization was completed include handwriting input interface, handwriting information acquisition and preprocessing, feature recognition database loading, feature recognition API, cross-platform code rewriting and transplantation for feature extraction and pattern recognition algorithm, NDK compiled for STL compatibility configuration, the candidate views, keyboard input and so on. After the system design, detailed design and code design, etc, implements an online handwritten Tibetan input method, which can run smoothly on Android. The system software has finished functional test and performance test, the input system supports handwritten recognition for 562 Tibetan characters, and can inputs punctuation, symbols and digital sign of Tibetan through different keyboard. The input method has reached the ability of practical application.
