Abstract

This paper examines the effect of an online model of education on student performance through a direct comparison of previous studies. Student scores were generally studied and analysed for two major groups of students: high school students and college students. We also studied students of various demographics (like students coming from rural and urban backgrounds, students with special needs, etc.) and their scores as well in this paper. The results show that there is no significant change in student performance for both high school students and college students. Additionally, to get a clearer picture of these results of average student performance, the paper also analysed the variability of student scores in online classes.
