Abstract

Infertility in males with Down Syndrome (DS) is well established. Most DS men are azoospermic, those with limited sperm production generally have cognitive impairments precluding family-building. To date, only 4 live-births worldwide have been reported from DS men. Of these, a single case involved IVF-ICSI, using sperm from a man mosaic for trisomy 21. The incidence of aneuploidy in embryos resulting from sperm from men with complete trisomy 21 was hitherto unestablished.
