Abstract

One-stationary bistatic ultrahigh frequency (UHF) ultrawideband (UWB) synthetic aperture radar (SAR) works in the UHF UWB signal with a large fractional bandwidth and has the wide antenna beamwidth with a large integration angle, thus it has the well ability of penetrating the foliage, high-resolution imaging and providing the increased information. Here, the onestationary bistatic UHF UWB SAR experiment is described and the imaging results are proposed. This bistatic SAR system was developed based on a UHF UWB SAR system as the vehicle-based transmitter and the other UHF UWB radar system as the ground-based receiver. In late 2015, the experiment was first conducted in China, and then the monostatic and bistatic scattered signal were simultaneity collected. The objective of this paper was to investigate the imaging performance of the onestationary bistatic UHF UWB SAR system.
