Abstract

ABSTRACTThe Hippo pathway plays a major role in regulating organ size during embryogenesis. Loss of Hippo signaling can cause cancer due to unrestricted cell proliferation. Recently we found that Yes-associated protein 1 (YAP1), the major downstream effector of Hippo, promotes mitotic gene expression and proliferation through binding and activating the Myb-MuvB (MMB) complex subunit MYB proto-oncogene like 2 (B-MYB).
