Abstract

Allyl-β-cyclodextrin chiral monolithic capillary electrochromatography column was prepared by one- step reaction with allyl-β-cyclodextrin (allyl-β-CD), glycidyl methacrylate and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as functional monomers. In capillary electrochromatography (CEC) mode, 18 kinds of amino acid enantiomers were separated successfully. The study found that the capillary monolithic column prepared by modified CD derivatives as the functional monomer had good retention ability to hydrophobic chiral compounds containing amido or benzene ring. Meanwhile, it had good stability and reproducibility. The new column had also been applied to separation of chiral drugs.
