Abstract

Transparent conductive thin films play an important role in antistatic coating. In this work, highly robust Ag nanowires/TiOx hybrid transparent conductive thin film was deposited by a one-step and low-temperature method. Firstly, 4.2 g of silver nanowires and 1.0 liter of TiOx sol-gel solution were synthesized. The Ag nanowire dispersion and TiOx sol-gel solution were mixed and sprayed onto many types of substrates, including glass, wood and marble. Highly robust Ag nanowires/TiOx hybrid thin film with a sheet resistance of 7–102*/□ and transmission of 63%–84% can be obtained by a low-temperature sintering process or by UV/ozone irradiation at room temperature. Our results indicated that low-cost and robust Ag nanowires/TiOx hybrid thin films have a high potential in antistatic coating.
