Abstract

AbstractOne‐pot synthesis of selected P‐vinylbenzyls under solvent‐free conditions was elaborated on a multigram scale. Several techniques have been used to characterize properties of all new products: MS, HRMS, E.A., and multinuclear NMR in solution and solid‐state. The structure of 5,5‐dimethyl‐2‐(4‐vinylbenzyl)‐1,3,2‐dioxaphosphinane 2‐oxide (2 d) was determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction measurements rationalized based on DFT calculation. The X‐ray and NMR studies of 2 d indicate the appearance of an anomeric effect.
