Abstract

In this work, we report in situ Au decoration on the surface of the LiNiPO4 nanoplates via supercritical fluid process for the first time. The purpose of the in situ Au nanoparticles decoration was to improve electrochemical performance by improving the surface electrical conductivity. X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and elemental mapping was adopted to confirm the Au nanoparticles deposition on the LiNiPO4 nanoplates. The discharge capacity of 66mAhg−1 with a flat profile at above 4.5V was observed, which is better than that of acetylene black (AB) and commercial Au particles mixed LiNiPO4 nanoplates.
