Abstract
The design of a composite photocatalyst with simple preparation process, controllable composition and high visible-light catalytic activity is a very important research direction in the field of semiconductor catalysts. A novel binary MoS 2 /SnS 2 heterostructure has been synthesized by a simple one-step hydrothermal method, in which MoS 2 is a mixed phase of 2H semiconductor and 1T metal with the ratio of the two phases being related to MoS 2 mass fraction. The obtained 1T@2H-MoS 2 /SnS 2 hybrid exhibits high photocatalytic activity in degradation of organic pollutants due to multiphase synergistic effect, in which 2H-MoS 2 /SnS 2 is used as a good photosensitizer and catalyst, and 1T-MoS 2 acts as a channel for electron migration and cocatalyst. The maximum photodegradation performance is achieved in composite with 40% MoS 2 mass fraction, in which 1T phase accounts for 61.5%. This unique heterostructure photocatalyst with excellent performance may open up new and promising perspectives on the hierarchical structure of photocatalytic materials.
