Abstract
Pyrimido[4,5-b]indole derivatives 4 were synthesized from a one-pot three-component reaction of aryl aldehyde 1, oxindole 2 and urea/thiourea 3 in solvent-free condition using ytterbium(III) triflate as catalyst. .
