Abstract
A one-pot hydrothermal followed by annealing route has been developed to prepare ZnS/C microspheres which are comprised of ZnS nanoparticles incorporated with in-situ gluconate-derived carbon. The robust hybrid structure greatly enhances the stability and conductivity of composites. As a result, the great enhancement in electrochemical Li-storage of ZnS/C can be achieved due to the desirable structural features as well as capacitive contribution.
