Abstract
Pyrazoline is an important heterocyclic compound in organic and pharmaceutical industry. The pyrazoline-based compounds are intensively used in medicines and agricultural industry. This review is to highlight various synthesis of pyrazolines namely azo-pyrazolines, bis-pyrazoline, symmetrical and asymmetrical pyrazolines via one-pot and two-pot synthetic techniques. One-pot synthetic technique is unique method for direct reaction of α, β-unsaturated aldehydes and acetophenones with hydrazines. While two-pot synthetic technique is more commonly reported via the formation of chalcone prior to the synthesis of pyrazoline. This review is significant in synthetic field related to pyrazolines and pharmaceutical industries.
