Abstract

This paper presents a one-port coupling matrix technique applicable to the design of reflection-type devices. Both the lossless and lossy cases are considered and discussed. It is shown that the one-port coupling matrix exhibits the unique feature of being always reducible to a direct-coupled inline topology. Alternative different topologies are also introduced and discussed. One illustrative example and one experimental validation are finally provided to illustrate the proposed approach.
