Abstract
The contributions of one-pion exchange currents to nuclear electromagnetic form factors are examined in a relativistic many-body formalism. The nucleons interact with pions via the pseudo-vector coupling, in addition to σ- and ω-meson exchange. Self-consistency is achieved by using relativistic Hartree-Fock wavefunctions. For elastic electron scattering, a moderate enhancement of the higher multipoles of magnetic form factors is found in qualitative agreement with previous nonrelativistic calculations. Contributions to nuclear charge form factors are found to be small in this model.
