Abstract
The differential cross sections for the reactions 16 O(π +, π + p) 15 N ∗(6.32 MeV) and 16 O(π +, π + n) 15 O ∗(6.18 MeV) are measured with a 2.0 GeV/ c pion beam in a π + γ coincidence experiment. Calculations in the framework of the unified theory of nuclear disintegration are in qualitative agreement with the experimental data.
