Abstract

One new transition metal coordination complex {[MnL1(H2O)3]·2H2O}n (1) (where H2L1 is 1-(carboxymethyl)-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid) were synthesized by one-pot in situ hydrolysis. The complex is a 1D polymer and assembled into a 3D structure by hydrogen bonding interactions and intermolecular contacts. The structure has been established by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, and characterized by FT-IR and solid state fluorescent spectroscopy. The maximum emission of 1 is at 362 nm (λex = 298 nm), which is red-shift to the free ligand λmax = 327 nm (λex = 298 nm). Hirshfeld surface analysis was also carried on complex 1. According to the 3D Hirshfeld surface and 2D fingerprint plots, the main interactions in the complex are O···H/H···O contacts.
