Abstract

In the minimal supersymmetric model (MSSM), the tree-level value of the charged-Higgs-boson mass must be larger than ${m}_{W}$. When one-loop radiative corrections are incorporated, we find that ${m}_{{W}^{+}}<{m}_{W}$ is possible over a limited range of parameter space if the top-quark mass is large and the mass of the $\mathrm{CP}$-odd neutral scalar is small. Nonobservation of the charged Higgs boson at the CERN ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collider LEP can be used to restrict the allowed region of MSSM parameter space.
