Abstract

We start from one gluon exchange mechanism to derive a quark-antiquark pair creation transition potential, and study some strong interaction processes, such as baryon-meson vertices, NN interactions and meson decays, by using this transition potential. The coupling constants of the vertices are consistent with the experimental data, except for the case of JC meson, in which the theoretical results are in general smaller than the measured values. The equivalent meson exchange NN interactions have the same behavior of the conventional OBEP for the medium and long range parts.
