Abstract
By observing the appropriate conditions relating to formulation, production, substrate examination and pretreatment and application, by using a dual system of potassium silicate binders and low amounts of organic polymer dispersions silicate emulsion paints and plasters constitute systems of essentially mineral character with application properties that, in many respects, have approached those of pure organic emulsion paints or polymer improved plasters without losing the major advantages of the traditional mineral binder systems.
